This website will be the source of all your theory learning both before and during the course. On this site there are 4 different sections, each of which will be individually explained below so please take a couple of minutes to understand and learn how to best utilise them. Once you have finished reading you can click ‘Profile’ at the top or bottom to go to your specific courses.
Lesson plans
The lesson plans play a major part in both the practical and theory exam. During the practical exam you will be asked to teach a structured lesson based up the plans supplied. During the theory exam you could be asked about any part of any lessons. It is extremely import and beneficial that you work through as many of the lessons plans as possible before arriving in resort. First be confident with them in English then learn the German.
Theory and exam
Once you arrive into resort the remaining theory material will be released on the site. This material goes beyond lessons plans and more into the safety of skiing, how to teach adults vs children, avalanche and snow as well as other subjects. The more of the lesson plans you know before the course starts the easier your time will be in resort learning the rest of the theory whilst also giving you more free time to do your own thing.
Fragenkatalogue
A fragenkatalogue is a large bank of questions that you could be asked. Out of around 100-150 questions you could be asked up to 25 of them. The reason behind the question bank is not to for ease of passing but more so that you have an idea of how the questions in each section might look and be asked thus taking away part of the exam stress.
German Practice
This Section is for you, its not a necessity on the course. HOWEVER, it is in your best interest to take part in and work through the conversational germans course both pre course and during the course. When finding our participants jobs we are always asked ‘How is the participants German?’. With better german more resorts want you but it also makes you a more valuable instructor and as a result you will receive more lessons and in turn earn more money.
